East Wick is LLDC’s second neighbourhood and Sweetwater is LLDC’s third neighbourhood. It forms an important part of the Hackney Wick neighbourhood centre. East Wick + Sweetwater has been conceived of as a new family orientated neighbourhood that will include houses and apartments, a health centre, a community centre and library, commercial space and a new nursery as well as a series of vehicle free ‘liveable’ streets.
East Wick + Sweetwater sits close to Hackney Wick and Fish Island and are separated by the Copper Box Arena and the energy centre. East Wick sits in the London Borough of Hackney, adjacent to Mossbourne Riverside Academy, Here East and faces onto the north Park. Sweetwater, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, will border the playing fields of Bobby Moore Academy, the London Stadium and the canal front and faces the South Park and East Bank.
