In partnership with Native Land, Places for London has secured planning permission to restore and enhance the land and buildings around South Kensington Tube station. The approved plans will deliver 50 new homes, 35 per cent of which will be affordable, alongside new retail, restaurant space and a four-storey office building.
The scheme also enables step-free access from street to ticket hall on the Circle and District lines. Subject to funding, it also paves the way for future capacity improvements and step-free access to the platforms – helping transform the station into a gateway worthy of the world-class cultural institutions it serves.
