Silvertown is a flagship development in the heart of the Royal Docks, undergoing a major transformation following approval of a revised masterplan. Over the next decade the scheme will deliver 7,000 new homes including 1,032 in the first phase, more than half of which will be affordable.
The first 106 affordable homes, managed by The Guinness Partnership, were completed in 2025. Once complete, the site will comprise around seven million square feet of residential and commercial floorspace, community facilities and enhanced public realm creating a vibrant new town centre for the Royal Docks.
This waterfront site is anchored by the historic Millennium Mills, an iconic 20th-century flour mill, and the distinctive Grade II-listed Silo D, both of which will be restored as part of the plans. A new pedestrian and cycle bridge will connect Silvertown directly to Custom House station and the Elizabeth line.
